Nominations

Q: What is the final nomination date for Helping Hand 2017?

A: July 10th

Q: When will the winning project be announced for Helping Hand 2017?

A: July 17th

Q: Do I need to include pictures of the nominated project?

A: Yes, each nomination must be submitted with images of what work will need carrying out.

Q: Can the same project be nominated by more than one person?

A: Yes, each project may be nominated by more than one person.

Q: Can each entrant nominate more than one project?

A: No, each entrant is responsible for one and one project only. Should they submit another project for a different area, it will not be taken into consideration.

Q: What criteria does my nomination have to meet?

A: Project cannot exceed £5k, pictures must be submitted along with a written submission

Q: Who can apply for nominations as part of Wall’s Helping Hand?

A: Helping Hand welcomes nominations from anybody whether you are from a sports club, community group or someone that wants to do something special for a deserving person.

Q: Can I nominate myself?

A: No, you may nominate a project that is part of a club that you are a member of but you cannot nominate yourself for e.g. bathroom refurbishment.

Q: Can people vote for my nomination?

A: No, each nomination will be reviewed by an independent judging panel which will include representatives from Wall’s Pastry.

Q: Can I submit more than the 250 words allocated?

A: No, we only require key details for the nominations stage, what work would need undertaking and why Helping Hand would benefit your community / the person nominated.

Winner

Q: When will work commence on the winning project?

A: Within six months of the winning announcement, as per terms and conditions.

Q: What is the prize of Helping Hand 2017?

A: Your nominated project will be carried out by the Wall’s Pastry Helping Hand team.

Q: How long will the project take to complete?

A: Our qualified surveyors will explore the project and give a detailed estimation/deadline as to when the project will be completed. The maximum time allocated will be five days, midweek.

Q: Can I add further jobs to the project?

A: No, the work carried out will only be what was nominated.

Q: Can I promote the completion date of the project?

A: Yes, of course, if you would like an opening ceremony of the completed project, then feel free to do so!
