Keep Calm and Picnic!

Everyone here at Wall’s Savoury Pastry has really got into the British spirit recently and have been celebrating one of the nation’s favourite summer traditions; the picnic!

Saturday, June 11th, saw National Picnic Week commence and food lovers everywhere were asked to get involved, whether that was rolling out their tartan blankets with family and friends in the garden or a park; or enjoying a picnic at the comfort of an office desk!

We knew that families would have everything covered so we made sure the hard workers of our society had some of our tasty treats to get them through the day and sent out ‘desk picnic’ hampers, which were met with cheers all round!

Having a picnic is one of the UK’s most enjoyable summer traditions and with street party celebrations well underway throughout the country for the Queen’s 90th birthday, we couldn’t think of anything better than having our products in pride of place at any picnic or street party! We definitely feel our Jumbo Sausage Rolls or Scotch Eggs would make anything a very British occasion!

Our very own Kim Burgess, who is head of markets for Addo Food Group loves a good picnic! She said; “When the sun is shining in Britain it’s fair to say we just love it! Picknicking is extremely popular and we loved the idea of joining in the celebrations of National Picnic Week.

“We are truly delighted that many of our Wall’s Pastry products already feature in so many picnic baskets across the country. National Picnic Week is all about getting people together and enjoying great food and company and we definitely think our products add to the occasion!”
