Seeing friends and family is the most missed activity by the nation
Since the UK went into lockdown on March 23, there’s no doubt that as a nation we have all missed our usual routines and more importantly, our loved ones.
In order to discover what people have missed the most from their everyday lives, we commissioned an online YouGov survey, which reached more than 1,800 members of the public.
The survey revealed that for 84% of British people, seeing their friends and family is their most missed activity during lockdown, 67% also listed leisure activities in their top three, whilst visiting a restaurant or a pub came in third with 61% of the vote*.
While the overwhelming majority of people surveyed said they are missing their loved ones the most, results also showed that 39% of Gen Z and millennials (18 to 24-year-olds) are missing going to the gym and taking regular workout classes as opposed to17% of baby boomers (over 55s) who are missing home and garden renovations*.
As the UK’s number one sausage roll brand, we want to help the public get back to doing what they miss the most, so we will be running a promotion later in the year with a chance to win a number of tailored prizes inspired by the activities the nation has been without – perfect for everyone to revisit their favourite food outlets and leisure attractions with their friends and loved ones.
You can look for the promotion on our products throughout autumn 2020.
